"Easy," Senna said, catching his shoulder, steadying him against the bunk. "You're safe. We're three days out from the Isles." Kane's breathing slowed, the panic draining as his surroundings settled into focus, the small cabin below deck, Senna's face close and familiar, the steady creak of the ship's hull around them. "How long was I out," Kane said, voice rough. "On and off for two days," Senna said. "Your bond's still settling. Every few hours it spikes, then calms again. I've never seen anything quite like it."
