Talyn cut down the first fighter before he even cleared the tree line fully.
"Hold the entrance!" Cassius roared, blade already moving fast against the sudden rush of Concord fighters pouring from the mist.
Kane gritted his teeth, hands still pressed against the pulsing light, pain tearing through his chest as his bond continued releasing slowly, steadily, despite the chaos erupting around him.
"Don't stop!" Wren shouted, staying close beside him. "If you stop now, it could be worse than finishing!"
"I'm not stopping," Kane said through clenched teeth.
The First Voice emerged from the fighting, cutting through his own fighters as much as the coalition's, moving with single-minded purpose straight toward the cave entrance.
"Kane!" Talyn shouted, spotting him. "He's coming for you!"
