Chapter 23:

A hand caressing my cheek wakes me up from my slumber causing me to instantly feel pain, aching, and stings all over my body. I winch in pain and discomfort. The hand continues to caress my cheek. I feel at ease despite the physical pain and find myself yearning for more of this gentle affection.

“How do you feel?” A low voice questions. I gasp and open my eyes. A cool breeze hits my face causing chills to travel all over my body. Another gasp escapes my lips as I realize I had no clothes on. A thin blanket covers my body. I clutch the blanket tightly towards my chest darting my eyes in different directions.
