Felix hugged me tightly as soon as I crossed the magical barrier. His heart was beating rapidly, and it was clear that even though my mate trusted me to handle the situation with Eyrx, Felix had been terrified.
"I'm okay. The babies are okay. I promise," I reassured my mate.
"I know you are more than capable, but you and the twins are my world," Felix murmured as he kissed my head.
"We weren't alone in the forest. There was a vampire that took the pilot out for us. It helped immensely. I don't think we would have been able to move as quickly and be as effective without their help," I confessed to my mate.
"I wonder if the Shifting Circle has reached out to others for help," Felix said.
"Eyrx said I should ask my mom and Lennox," I replied. "Have they arrived yet?"
