Chapter 5

239 Words
Trees were surrounding the area as I stumbled across a magical lake, which looked like it came right out of a fairy tale. I was about walk closer to it but someone had just stopped me from moving closer. "Don’t!”, a deep voice from behind me slightly yelled. Confused I looked behind and didn’t see anyone there, so I ignored what that person had said and moved a step closer. Angrily the person repeated "Don’t!" in a deeper and colder voice, which gave me cold sweat down my spine. I thought I was hallucinating when a hand suddenly touched my shoulder startlingly me almost immediately, as he continued after a deep sigh "Look around you....", I did as he instructed, "if you had walked any further they would have attacked you. Would you want to wind up dead?” Not knowing how to respond to him a stayed silent and slightly nodded between yes and no, I was distracted because his voice sounded so angry and worried at the same time, which made me unable to give him a clear answer, so I froze in place and looked around to again trying to make out what was watching us from around each corner. All I could see was the glares but now that I was focusing even more clearer, my breath cut and i swallowed heavily as I noticed it were wild animals glaring at us fiercely.
