Chapter 4

405 Words
I spotted a terrace which was decorated with flowers, roses, lilies, tulips and more in different colors, red, white and black. I looked slightly higher and I saw him standing up there leaning towards the terrace, looking towards the moon which shined brightly. He looked so calm and elegant his gaze seemingly distant and thoughtful, for a moment I pity and my heart sank. For a short while I kept staring at him, I tried to put myself in his shoes for that brief second. As if he felt my presence he turned towards me and we shared a gaze of passion, sadness, pity, guilt and pain, all in one. We looked into each others eyes for a long time enjoying the silence. My hair was flying over my face by the cause of the wind and it slightly got messy, so I had shifted a strain of hair behind my ear, while his hair still looked elegant even with the slight breezes of wind caressing over it. Before I knew what to think and finally say he turned away and left. I didn’t mind all though I was feeling weird in my gut as my heart was beating fast as if I ran a marathon, it was as if it was about to jump out my chest. I turned and continued walking in his huge garden with the thoughts that he would come meet me outside as he ordered earlier. I heard a voice calling out for me, which took me out of my thoughts. It was the king. «What does he want know», I thought to myself. "What are you doing?”, he began, "You should engage more with your soon-to-be-husband” I wanted to roll my eyes, but I held myself back and instead replied "Yes, we are about to meet” His eyes lit up as he was satisfied with what he was hearing but there was a spark of fear in his expression, "Good, good", he said immediately as he hurriedly left. My thoughts shifted from think of our encounter to how quick the king wanted to leave. «He must really be scared of him seeing how eagerly he wanted to leave. Although he looked harmless from up close. I feel stupid for being afraid just because of the rumors» I continued walking distracted, which led me somewhere in the woods, where I suddenly stumbled upon a magical view.
