At the end of the day, I decided to stop by Jeremy’s office to say goodbye before leaving. I walked to his door, pushed it open gently, and entered. He was focused on some papers but looked up when he heard me. “My love, I’m leaving now,” I said with a smile. Jeremy stopped what he was doing, got up, and walked toward me. He pulled me to him by the waist, bringing me closer, and kissed me. The kiss, though brief, was warm and full of tenderness. “I can take you to the bar where you’ll meet George,” he suggested, his tone calm but firm. I looked at him, a bit surprised by his offer. “Don’t you trust me?” I asked, raising an eyebrow, though my voice was not accusatory, just curious. Jeremy shook his head, a soft smile on his lips. “I’ve never trusted anyone as much as I trust you.” H
