After what had been an incredibly uncomfortable day for me, the time to leave the office had finally arrived. I grabbed my bag, trying to ignore the lingering stares I could still feel on me. As I stood up from my chair, I noticed a few employees laughing among themselves, loud enough for me to hear. I knew it was intentional, but this time, I decided not to ignore it. Something inside me snapped; I was a little tired of their judgmental gazes. I walked over to them with firm steps, even though my heart was pounding hard. “What’s so funny?” I asked, confronting them directly. Viviana, as always, didn’t miss the chance to jump at me.
