Ava’s POV

I was ditched by my best friend and brother the instant we arrived at the main floor.I was upset but I expected it too. They say the pull in a mate bond is hard to ignore but all in all, at least they are not making a big deal about my birthday anymore. I went to the club bar and asked for a vodka and red bull as well as water. Just because we don’t get drunk of regular alcohol we still get the headaches that go with it if you don’t hydrate yourself as you drink. I sat down and waited for my order when I heard Lilly finally talk to me.

Lilly: hey Ava

Ava: Hey Lilly done hiding from me?

Lilly: well i knew you would be upset with me hiding the plans from you, but I wanted to help surprise you for once and we got a cruise! I think it is about time we have a vacation

Ava: I was upset but i know how hard they worked but you freaked me out. Like seriously why the kidnapping and fire alarm all in one day?

Lilly: They figured pulling the alarm you would realize there was no fire and as you were walking they were to get you to go willingly with them guess they though you knocked out was best. Guess telling them no all the time gave them the idea.

Ava: ok well i am just glad your back and don’t do this again. I trust you the most and there seems to be a lot of changes to come and I need you to be here with me.

Lilly: I have and always will be here for you Ava, and I am sorry you felt so hurt by my actions.

As soon as we finished our conversation I looked over at my brother and Quinn seeing them laugh and having fun told me to go and enjoy the night. I was starting to worry a little that we had not seen or heard from Maryjane since earlier but I figured she was drinking with dom who I know was not up to any good. Josh had told me about him and how he was on a mission to screw human girls until he found his mate. Dom figured that it was easier to downplay his s****l activities to his mate as long as no other wolf was involved. In a way he was right but he could get a human pregnant so he should be careful because that would not be an issue explanation to his future mate. Pups were a huge thing to werewolves and having them with another female human or not could end their relationship before it starts.

Looking away from my brother and Quinn and back to the bar to finish my drink helped me pass time and soon I was on the dance floor enjoying the music when i felt arms wrap around me from behind. At first I was tense but as they just stayed around my waist I figured they just wanted to dance and relax. I did not turn around as i began to dance with them and as he started to grind on me i grinded right back swaying from side to side and enjoying the connection for the time being. I was turned around as a slow song came one and finally seeing the guy i was dancing with brought a smile to my face. He was strawberry blond about 6 foot with green eyes and I did not smell a wolf so human as well. As we slowly danced he asked my name and I told him Lilly. That got a growl from Lilly as i used her name but come on I hardly wanted someone to accidentally fall in love and stock me on social media so to avoid that I lied. Well if I can really call it a lie since she is a part of me and me apart of her. His name was Nick and he was on a trip with his friends before he moved out of the country to be with family. I did not tell much about myself, I just mainly listened to him tell me all about who he was and stuff. I was not listening and was getting annoyed with all his talking so I did the only thing I could think of and kissed him.

He responded to the kiss after his initial shock wore off, he was not a bad kisser but I enjoyed the quiet. I broke away as the music changed back to upbeat music and saw a smile plastered on his face. Guess he enjoyed the kiss and I was thankful he did not start talking again. I scanned the room again to check on Quinn and Josh to see them in a heated make out session. I left the minute he started to place his hand in her shirt. Was not staying for that show and decided to have Nick walk me to my room. He was all for it not even seeing that he was not getting lucky but i could use the company since our room was across the ship. After listening to him and answering simple questions like what i do and favorite stuff we reached my room and not smelling anyone I knew Maryjane had not made it to the room yet. I turned to say goodnight when he all of a sudden started to kiss me and since it was not too bad before I responded back. I did not allow his tongue access for i did not feel that generous until he bit my bottom lip and with a gasp of WTF moment he slipped in. Guess he took the gasp as a pleasure on stupid human only bite a werewolf when they are turned on and only then can you think that. But Nick was human and they always failed to acknowledge how the other person is feeling. I smelt my Josh, Quinn, and s very drunk Maryjane before they turned the corner. I was happy that this gave me an excuse to push Nick away but sad at the state in which Maryjane was in. Still in her swimsuit and reeking of alcohol. That f*****g d**k got her this wasted, we should of stayed with her. I mind linked my brother

Ava: hey, can you please get this guy to leave

Josh: why looks like you two were having fun

Ava: he took my WTF gasp as Excitement.

Josh: well he is human, what did you think would happen.

Ava: I don’t know I just tried to enjoy the moment but well it sucks.

Josh: fine but you owe me. Hey what are you doing with my little sister?

Nick: just saying goodnight.

Josh: well I think that locking lips is not the way to say it.

I think he was scared but Josh just looked at him and wondered why he was so scared. Nick left after shaking my hand and saying “goodnight Lilly”. I bid him farewell and turned to thank my brother when all I could hear was laughter. Quinn and Josh were laughing their ass off almost dropping Maryjane in the process. Josh fixed himself and repositioned Maryjane as Quinn unlocked the room. Placing her on the bed and turning toward me.

Quinn: so what happened i thought it looked like you were enjoying yourself?

Josh: well i don’t know, she even gave the guy a fake name or her other halfs name i should say.

Quinn: that is true, but why Lilly?

Ava: well it is usually the easiest answer to give so no one detects a lie since she is basically me.

Quinn: man i never thought of that should of used that one will last summer when we went to the beach. He stalked me on social media for months.

Ava: exactly I don’t need anyone trying to find me when i never even gave them my number.

Josh: Growled and said enough I am not a fan of hearing about my mates past guys or stalkers for that matter. I think she should stay with me tonight so she can calm Alex down and to avoid one of you having to sleep with miss drunk over there.

Ava: Wait how can Quinn calm Alex down? Never mind i am guessing from that look it is a mate thing I will understand when it is time. Any way the matter is up to Quinn.

Quinn: are you going to be ok if I do stay in your brother’s room?

Ava: I will be fine, I have my book and cell phone and I am kind of tired since it is almost 1 am.

Quinn: ok i would love to come stay with you Josh...ohh and Alex. Just let me get some things for the night.

After she grabbed her stuff I was sad since I expected to stay up with her and talk about where this cruise was going. I am happy for them but it will be different not seeing her as much as I am used to. I knew she would have to choose to finish school or do her luna training while she attends if she chooses to continue her education. Her dream to be an ER nurse would be in jeopardy. I knew after watching My grandmother and even my mother being a luna is a full time job, but if anyone I knew could do both it would be Quinn. I decided to shower and fall asleep after reading a story on my phone for a little while. I did not want to start falling asleep and drop that brick of a book on my face while the phone on the other hand would hurt but not as bad. I might heal quickly but I still feel all the pain with every injury. I soon realised that the signal for the internet sucks on a cruise so I just turned on the tv and fell asleep.
