I woke to the beeping of my alarm and found that I was not too excited to get up. Now don't get me wrong i love my classes but I do not like that today is my 21st birthday. My friends have this irritating trait to plan surprise parties for me. As I have the in hance trait of hearing, smelling and even seeing things others don't i usually know when they are starting to plan something in their whispering voices come to my ears like they were talking to me face to face. They began to talk about their plans last week but since Quinn knew how good my hearing was she would not let them talk about it around me. Quinn sure had a smile when ever i said you should just let them be.

Quinn: "No shall do sweetheart, this will be a surprise this year since it may be the last before you go off into the sunset with your mate."

Ava: "really Do you think that i wont find out?"

Quinn: "We shall see"

She shut me out after that I reluctantly got out of bed knowing I would have to go out and be around drunk people for my friends found it so much fun to get wasted and make out with strangers. Don't get me wrong I have been on dates with both wolf and human, but I did not feel like I should disrespect my possible mate by handing out myself on a silver platter. Anyway let's get back to the start of my day. Showing, and getting dressed in something comfy since I know they already probably bought my birthday outfit and will make me change when i get to school. Ans how right I was miss fashion queen Maryjane pulled me to the restroom and would not let me protest the clothes she picked out for me.

Ava: "A dress or you kidding me?"

Maryjane: Well Ava we could sit and argue but you already know that I will win in the end if you want to get to your first class just put on the dress.

Ava: Fine but I hope u know I will get you back for this.

Looking into the mirror i could not believe how god Maryjane is at knowing my size. It hugged me in all the right places and even I was smiling at myself. Ok, I know we are are worst critic and I usually beat myself up over the way i look in dresses however this little black dress has made the cut. Guess I will have to start taking Maryjane with me next time I go shopping. As I came through the door she whistled but as soon as I placed on my leather jacket she booed. I didn't care it was school and my professor would not let me slide in class late; I ran to class right when the door was about to be closed and for sure locked i slipped in and took a seat.

Professor Shell: Good morning class, now who can tell me last week's discussion and assignment?

No one even looked toward the professor due to the fact they thought this course would be easy so they never really did the work. While i was in thought and shaking my head as Lilly agreed with me I could hear the professor.

Professor Shell: "Ok Miss Towell since you were the last one to arrive today why dont you remind the class what we discussed last week."

Ava: Well we first talked about the mating ritual on endangered animals but as we talk there were so many you assigned us to pick an animal and write an essay describing in detail the mating routine and speciality that may ably to that species.

Professor Shell: Very well said and thank you for being prepared. So with that let us start with pre-presentations of you research.

Class: WHAT! this is no not fair.

This started the whispers and of course clicking of keyboards as people started to research that they failed to start last week. Joey Mack was a guy in the class who just had a hard time keeping up with anything was starting to sweat. This was not good for i knew that professor shell could smell fear and before I could worn joey she called on him.

Professor Shell: Joey Mack can you start us off with what you subject matter and a preff intro.

Joey Mack: I...I.. Ummm...

Professor Shell: Well don't keep us waiting Mr. Mack.

Joey Mack: I...I... am doing my paper on s...s...s...Sk..Skunks!

Professor Shell: interesting choice please elaborate on it please.

Poor Joey he was so nervous and looked around the room and you could hear the chuckles from some classmates. But, as his eyes landed on me i gave him a smile and he seemed to relax some. Weird but If it helped I am glad.

Joey Mack: Although they are unpopular among humans and many other species they are a dying breed. With this information I am looking into how often they breed, and am looking for information on population and in which regions.

Professor Shell: Thank you for that information and I am looking forward to reading your paper.

Joey Mack: thank you professor Shell.

Now the class was quit hoping they were not called on next. I am pretty sure that Joey and me were the only ones who started the research paper. I was almost done with it so that I can continue on my weekend plans with Quinn. I really hope I am right and they are mates that would be awesome. Ok on with class; it was near the end of class when the fire alarm went off and we all exited the class. Professor looked like she was so pissed knowing she could not torcher another student for not being prepared. You should have seen the scared faces of those being called on after Joey Mack. But; now they scurry out like mice from a lion. I bet that someone had asked someone to pull it weather it was in the class or not i can not determine, but the lack of smoke and smell of said fire told me I was right.

I could hear the faint giggles of a girl and a thank you baby followed by more giggles. I was not in the mood to see people making out or worse getting it on while others ran away from a nonexistent fire. What I did not expect was a hand grabbing me and placing a rag over my face, what is this, oh s**t no. no .no; was all i could think as knowing I had already inhaled chloroform. Well here comes the moment where I black out. What I could not figure out was why my wolf did not sense the person or smell the chloroform at all. I mean come on I can hear a pin drop across campus but somehow they got to me. I had a bad feeling that my wolf knows something I do not. Not something I feel comfortable with, for we are a team and this is way off.
