Hron drew back in shock, “Little one, we have no intention of hurting Abe. What in all the creators would make you think we would hurt Abe?”
“Because it was my job to keep the Nakaka safe and I failed.” Abe stated, without looking in Hron’s direction.
Instead of insisting Petree go back and rest, Hron felt a little selfishness and assisted him into a chair that Dak quickly placed next to Hron’s. Once Petree was situated and comfortable, Hron sat in his own seat, looked at Abe, “What exactly do you think you could have done to change what happened here?”
“I was a guard for the Nakaka. That says it all.” Abe stated, the disgust was evident in his tone.
“You were a guard, Abe. Your job was to guard the Nakaka during nestling. Did you not do this?” Dak asked.
Abe turned to Dak
