Chapter 13
Everyone has gathered in the main hall. The children are all confused as to why they aren’t being told to head to their respective classes after breakfast. They are beginning to be restless. Some of them are already running around, playing with each other, laughing heartily.
Aaron is going to miss all of this, and all of the children in the orphanage. He prays that something can ease his heavy heart. He wishes that he doesn’t have to leave every one of them behind. These children have been his family for years. He has taken care of them as they have taken care of him. They always have each other’s backs. And now, he feels sad that he has to leave them behind. More importantly, he feels heartbroken that he has to leave Jane behind.
