Chapter 25
'It’s going to be a great day,' Jane tells herself. Or at least tries to convince herself. She was informed last night that the students will gather this morning at the auditorium to formally introduce the new set of officers of the Student Union. And today, they are also going to release the new members they have meticulously chosen to be part of the organization.
She doesn’t want to dampen her spirits this morning by thinking that she probably won’t get accepted. Judging from the interview yesterday, her chances of getting in are close to none. She got a call from her mom this morning. She gave her a little white lie that she has a good chance of being part of the Union and that she will be able to help with school expenses.
