“Earth to Jane!” someone interrupts her thoughts.
Jane blinks at see her two friends, Maia and Jonah, who are standing in front of her, looking at her like she has grown two heads.
Maia and Jonah are the only people in Genevese who bother to be friends with her. Both of them come from prominent families, but they never treat Jane as if she is someone lower than them.
