Chapter 38
Aaron feels as if his heart is going to explode out of his chest. He is trapped. He feels so helpless and powerless against Charles. Right now, there is nothing he can do to protect Jane from him. He needs to remind himself that Charles is evil, a master manipulator. He has spent his better years planning to take over the Chapman Enterprises. Dealing with a young man like Aaron sounds like a little warm-up to taking his grandfather out.
There is no way he is going to keep staying with Charles. He won’t be a puppet to be used the way Charles pleases. He needs to protect Jane. And to be able to do that, he needs to keep her away from Charles. If he leaves, then Charles will leave Jane alone. Aaron can work off separately and build an empire of his own to one day take Charles
