Chapter 60
Aaron leans on the rails of the overlooking rooftop and closes his eyes. The beautiful view of the city doing nothing to soothe the ache in his heart. He tries to breathe and finds that the pain is strangling him from within, knawing at his insides.
Does it really all boil down to this? Did he love Jane all his life, only to lose her in the end?
'No.' He breathes heavily. 'I won’t allow it. I will do everything to win her love back.'
He feels an unwelcome tension and realizes he is no longer alone.
