Chapter 55
After office, Jane proceeds to the bike shop to follow up on her order for Eddie’s present.
Up until now, she still could not process something she has learned today. She has been to the bank earlier, intent on putting up a bank account for Eddie. She thinks that she better prepare early for Eddie’s future and secure it. Something that has never happened to her as a child.
“Would you like to use the same account with a trust fund under your child’s name?” the teller asks her.
Jane looks at her, confused. “Trust fund? I’m sorry. You must have been mistaken. I have never set up a trust fund for my son.”
'Nor do I have that much money yet to do so.'
The teller checks back and forth on her computer, and the papers Jane has just filled up. She also checks Eddie’s photo carefull
