Host, you talk too much

Keith ignored the words of the system, however, he displayed his happiness in attaining his first Core Fragment inside of him. Yet, at the other phase of his mind were waves of shock and disappointment. The curious look on Sage's face gave him a clear concept that she had noticed something. After all, the path through this spot was straight and she could possibly see the fighting scene from afar. Keith was dazed. "He is an Awakened! He can create thunder!" Jake shouted with fear and ran away, leaving his friends behind. Keith attempted to chase after him, but Sage's stunning words made him halt his movement. "Why do you lie to me? You are able to awaken your talent but you kept it a secret, why?" Keith faced the other direction which Jake had taken, shocked and dumbfounded. He wanted this to be a secret until the Postings, but now that it had been licked, he wouldn't be able to cover it up. After all, he caused it. 'I should have fought a normal fight.' Keith hesitated 'But he tried to use magic against me so I had to defend myself... That jerk! I'll see you again.' Keith's anger for Jake kept growing as he recollected what had happened earlier. He wished he had broken one of his ankles, or ripped his arm from its socket. However, Sage's questions haven't been answered. Keith turned to look at her furious face, her anger becoming so immense that Keith could sense the urge to get his head broken in her. "Why aren't you responding to me, you punk!" Sage ran towards him and slapped him twice on both cheeks. *Slap* *Slap* "Argh! What the hell Sage?!" Keith exclaimed. "What's with keeping what the Rotunda clan had wanted to hear a secret? Why?" Sage asked again. With the slight anger that shrouded Keith's emotions at that moment, Keith replied: "Because I wanted to make everyone surprised at the Postings," Keith enlightens, "look Sage... I know this was ridiculous, but nothing would have changed. You guys would still have known on the Postings." Keith expected another slap from her because he knew that his words were out of sense... But, instead of banging her palms on his cheek once again, she hugged him tightly, sobbing. "I'm glad that you are an Awakened, Keith," Sage said, tears dripping down her temples. She held Keith tight as though she was holding a thief who was about to escape after being caught. However, she only felt happy and relieved. Keith caressed her back, giving her a comforting feeling. Nonetheless, after some time, Keith hesitated a bit and muttered. "Sage," he interrupted her thoughts. "Now you know that I'm not Talentless, I want you to keep this a secret." Sage suddenly backed away and glared at Keith. "Why?" She asked. Keith shook his head, staring down at the floor before returning his gaze towards Sage. "I want them to get surprised on that day too... I want to plunge the Blue Planet into a pit of surprise on that day," Keith said. Sage Shrugged. "Is that even necessary Keith? Jake had known already so he would probably spread the news," Sage notified. She folds her arms, her face producing a distrustful look. "Leave Jake's case to me, I'll deal with him trust me. Just keep it a secret, that's all I want from you," Keith pleaded. Sage nodded in agreement and smiled. Keith smiled too, and frowned slightly after thinking of something. "Where the hell were you going before finding me here? Were you trailing my movements?" Keith asked, curious. Sage chuckled and hit one of her fingers on his chest. "I wasn't trailing you. I'm heading to the city market to get some flowers. Today's Greg's birthday." Keith's eyes widened in surprise, though disappointed in himself for forgetting his brother's birthday. "That's right, it's 2nd December. Whoa. What can I get him for a gift? I have nothing on me now," Keith said, depressed. He liked Greg the most among his brothers and was willing to get him a good gift. Unfortunately, for a poor brat like him, it seemed impossible right now. So sad. "You don't have to worry about giving him gifts, you should be thinking of how to get us out of that slum after being titled an Awakened," Sage advised. "Whatever," Keith muttered, "I'm visiting Premier Territory at the moment." He lied. "Okay then, how about I see you off to the teleporter," Sage proposed, the smile on her face was charming enough to make Keith accept her proposal. However, he wasn't going to be that foolish right? His goal at the moment was to enter the Menace Forest and kill ten Tier-0 monsters. Knowing how crazy Sage was going to act if she realized, Keith just had to decline her proposal, with a hefty lie. "Don't bother Sage, I'm actually heading to Peter's fort... We never got to talk in the Talent Detection hall because he left before me." Sage nodded positively with a calm countenance. "Okay then, it's fine." Keith nodded with a smile. "But make sure you don't get yourself beaten up," Sage warned. "Sure... Remember, I'm no weak chap anymore. The I..." Keith quickly shut his mouth. What?! He was about to expose the Immortal Mage System. He felt his heart beating his chest, causing him fear for his life. 'Gosh, I almost killed myself with my fuckin mouth.' "What were you trying to say, Keith?" Sage asked, though she wasn't too curious. Of course, she would think that his talent was natural because no one had ever heard of a system before. "I mean The heavens have finally blessed my sorry a*s," Keith lied. It sounded funny, so Sage laughed slightly. "Okay then, you have to go now. Premier Territory is quite far you know... I wish you wouldn't just visit Peter," Sage complained. "So sorry sis, but I have to see him right away. Common go and get the flowers," Keith said, and followed another path. Actually, this was the path leading to Peter's fort. However, truly, what the heck! Keith wasn't seeing Peter. Why would he see someone who suddenly left him after discovering that he was cursed? Never! When Sage was out of sight, as usual, Keith made his way into the Menace Forest. [Host, you talk too much. Less talk, less focus]. [Adapt].
