The consequences of my actions were coming back to bite me in the ass and I wasn’t too surprised.
I’d manage to assure my grandfather that all those things were rumors. He was getting weaker each day and I didn’t want him to be stressed with my supposed love life. I wanted him to rest and get well as soon as possible.
However, the articles didn’t stop. There was even one, comparing the four women I was recently seen with. It seemed deliberate; as if someone was attacking my character on purpose.
I confirmed that it was an attack when they stopped questioning my morals and started questioning my tech devices. I specialized in medical tech, which meant if something went wrong with one of our creations, it could cause harm to people.
