After dressing in a short sleeve top and shorts, of course, I grab the hat to cover my ears.
“Sarah”
I shout in surprise and pull the hat onto my head as Yera walks in. That was close. To my greater surprise, Yera grabs me and pulls me behind him. He is growling and in a protective pose.
“WHERE THE DANGER?”
I blush at the realization that Yera is trying to protect me. And even more so because he must have read my emotions as I panicked about my hatless head being seen. Me feeling like I was in danger made him think I was in danger. Okay, so this emotion reading thing is gonna take a while to get used to.
“ Umm…. Yera there is no enemy.”
“But you screamed, and I felt your fear.” He growls as he still searches the room.
