Bound

Alpha Oliver I lay on the brown sofa on my balcony, my eyes on the large cities of my pack. It was my favorite spot as it helped me clear my head every evening. Being the Alpha of a large pack like mine has been tasking, it was more daring than I thought it would be, adding to the fact that I have a curse I'd live with for the rest of my life. Ethan, my personal guard, walked up to me with a distressed look on his face, "The slave carriage has just entered the palace, and they're headed towards Julius' quarters." He said, panting heavily. He must have run to deliver the message, considering that everything about Julius is treated as an emergency. I quickly rose to my feet, without saying any word to Ethan, and was on my way to Julius' quarters. Julius is a leader in my pack who takes pleasure in buying slaves and subjecting them to various ill treatments. Yes, I know we were supposed to stop him all this while, but that was because my father found a way to protect him and defend all he did. He was my father's cousin, and the only relative he has alive. Julius had been battling some mental illness for years, which made him take up his evil habits. And the only way I can curtail his evil acts is to forbid him from acquiring more slaves. I dashed into his cold stinking room and my eyes fell on an extremely gorgeous chubby lady who laid on the floor. Her brown-amber eyes fell on me and I felt my inside quiver. Those were the most beautiful eyes I had ever seen. Her hands were caught in the chains, and the tag on her body read, “Omega from Crescent pack.” I quickly undid her chains and took her away from the dark quarters without saying a word to Julius. There was no need, arguing with him was pointless. My intention was to make her my own slave. Indeed, the crescent pack has a special place in my heart because I was going to get married to Sane, the daughter of an elder member of the pack, but it wasn't in any way my intention to take advantage of her stepsister. I had never seen Amelia until that day at the quarters. I guess her family hid her from the eyes of the public. Not trying to make excuses, but I put all the blame on the black blazing that affected my actions. That was not the first time I had black blazing on my eyes, but that was definitely the first time it made me do the unthinkable. The black blazing was a result of a curse from the moon goodness Years ago, the Star moon pack, and the Daris pack had gone into war with each other. And in the werewolf race, it was better if you didn't go on a war at all than to go and fail. Yes, you guessed it right. The dark blazing which caused me to lose myself and behave like an entirely different person was a curse that was laid on me by the moon goodness after I and my pack lost that fight. I found myself admiring the omega who I could tell had no powers. My position as the Alpha needs a powerful woman by my side, reasons why I wanted to marry Sane. But before I could get myself together, I was in bed with her. She was very satisfying, and I must confess, her looks are unique. She had curves in the right places and smelled perfect. But now, I have lost my betrothed forever, and I'm going to live with regrets all my life. Sane had sneaked out of her pack to come see me like she always did. She also brought a tie she would love me to wear on our big day, but I messed everything up. After she saw the royal mark, she reported it to my father. My father, the great Xavier, summoned me before his chambers. I bowed before the old Alpha, hands clasped and ear at alert on waiting for his judgment. "You know what the tradition says, right?" His voice came as a command, but I didn't say a word. "You marked her, Oliver. Now you must take her as your Luna and never mark another." He gave the final judgment and I watched my world attempt to crumble before me. I'm an Alpha under a curse already, and need a strong Luna beside me. How on earth should I settle for a weak omega as my Luna? My chest tightened in pain, and I felt waves of pain throughout my body. Sane tapped her feet on the floor in a rage and began to run back to her pack. We both knew it was over. We both know the tradition. I know I am a fool because I didn't only mate with my betrothed's step sister, I also marked her. And now, I'm scared this might not be the end, because which more stupid acts this blazing eyes will make me do? I bowed to my father the last time, before heading to my chambers, drenched in pain and confusion. I remember the moon goddess saying that only someone with the divine blood will be able to break this curse. I had searched for people with divine blood, and even with my Alpha powers and connections, and the reports said that they stopped existing years ago. The witch doctor had suggested things I would do to make sure the curse doesn't take the best of me. And I did them, which included taking the herbs he prescribed for me. But I can't place what happened when I met Amelia. My soul yearned deeply for her and the connection felt like I had known her all my life. Even after the one-night stand, my body kept on needing her, and my soul knew how to remain calm each time I made love with her. But how would I make an ordinary omega my luna? I paced and paced round the room, pulses flaming. Suddenly, a soft knock landed on my door. And it was Amelia. She had come to serve her duty again as she placed a plate of sandwich and a creamy liquid on the table. My father burst into the room immediately, with a darkened gaze. "Prepare to crown her your Luna tomorrow. "
