Chapter 7September 24th “Let’s go to the bathroom.” Abby took me by the arm and steered me away from the small group I’d been on the edge of, wavering between being part of the conversation and outside of it. Sasha waved us off and continued to talk animatedly with two boys in our English class. He was sweet on one of them, but he wouldn’t tell me which. “I don’t like public restrooms, actually,” I said, but she steered me straight into the ladies’ room at the end of the hall.
