Nessa was making breakfast for her fiancée, she was a little bit tired from the work out she did earlier that morning. She wanted to make pancake.
Her daily routine is to jog round the yard every morning, it helped ease her mental stress.
"Is the breakfast ready" Nicholas screamed from upstairs.
"Almost. I am just a bit stressed" Nessa replied back hoping she was loud enough to be heard.
He snapped "Is there any moment you are not stressed. Just be fast with that, I will be down in a minute. I was hoping you prepare my lunch too. Microwave the pasta in the fridge".
It's been 3 months since Nicholas moved in with Nessa after they got engaged.
It has not been the most uncomfortable decision for her to bring her fiancée to live with him. Nicholas hasn't been supportive but Nessa herself didn't make it easy for him to connect with her.
She was still mixing the flour when the doorbell rang. She cleaned her hands and headed for the door.
Immediately she opened the door, she froze on seeing the familiar face standing right at her door.
"Hello" he smiled awkwardly at her.
Nessa could barely feel her legs anymore, she couldn't believe her eyes, her heart was beating so fast that she couldn't bear it anymore.
She fainted. Cedric was fast enough to catch her into his arms, he then fell on his knees for support.
He shook her gentily in attempt to resuscitate her, but she was not responsive.
"Is any one home?" Cedric called for help.
Nicholas ran down shortly at the strange voice.
"who are you? and what are you doing here?.
Cedric scowled on seeing him.
"She fainted" Cedric responded "Get some water".
Nicholas rushed to the kitchen to fetch a bowl of water from the tap.
Cedric stood to his feet, carried her and lay her gentily on a couch. He paused to look at her face. Her body was soaked in sweat. She looked languid and he blamed himself for what had happened.
He slouched over her and rubbed her chin. He missed her so much.
Before Nicholas could come back, Cedric was gone.
