Drea was always marching to the beat of her own drum. No one could tame her and she knew it so she embraced it. I can't tell you how many times I had to break up fight that she started. She would always taunt the other children saying she is going to be a great wolf and they all will bow down to her, that she will be their God. Hearing this brought such pain to my heart. Seeing how arrogant she was made me wonder what would happen when she reached the age of 18. I talked to your grandmother saying we need guidance. Being the beautiful woman that is your grandmother, she agreed saying we must pray. As we were praying to God we were visited by the messenger. The very same messenger who gave the first blessing. But, with the messengers visit he came with some news. He told us that it was decided that because of Drea complete arrogance towards God and others she would not be granted the blessing. I was crushed hearing this news. My child was my everything. I tried to teach her to change her ways and to embrace the way of the wolf. But she would never listen to me no matter how hard me or your grandmother tried. Drea thought she was better than any and everyone around her. She changed her heart into stone and we could not change it back. We were devastated but the messenger gave us comfort. Saying the way of the wolf will still on in our family just with another. He also said God sees all and knows all and because of our faithfulness he will continue to bless our lives. All we had to do is to be strong in everything and always run to him for he has the answers. Also stand strong and be brave. And with that the messenger vanished, leaving us to figure out what to do about Drea. With her 18th birthday coming in a few days we don't know how she will take the fact that she will not have a wolf. But we continued to pray and trust God but we were scared for how Drea will take it.
It came the day of her party we had to put on a brave face because we knew Drea is going to be disappointed. So we had to prepare for it. She came strutting up to the clearing shouting be prepared for the greatest wolf who've ever seen. But sadly no fire came, no popping of bones, nothing happened. Drea felt humiliated and beyond angry. Me and your grandmother tried to calm her but she just lashed out saying there was no God and that we lied to her. In her anger she lashed out and pushed your grandmother to the ground when she tried to hold her. I growled out at her in anger and she called us monsters. And with that she took off and something snapped our bond with our child was broken. She was gone for 4 years out of nowhere one day there was a bundle left on our doorstep. Inside that bundle was a note and a baby. A beautiful baby girl with beautiful brown eyes.
