Shopping trip

After the washing was clean and dry Connor put his uniform back on and walked into the living room where he saw hank putting on his jacket.
"Are you cold lieutenant?" The android asked
"Connor, for f***s sake quit calling me that. Just call me Hank... and no we're going out" hank signed, taking the hair band out of his hair, his grey hair landing in small curls on his shoulders
Connor smiled as they headed out of the house, he placed his hand in the others and started walking to the bus station. Once they got there they boarded the bus and sat down.
"That's disgusting, bringing an android with you..." one person muttered
"It's a disgrace isn't it? It doesn't even look human like. It's ugly really" Another snickered
Lieutenant Anderson snarled glaring over at the humans who had dared to insult Connor. Connor gently squeezed Hank's hand as if to say it would be okay and he didn't mind the comments.
"Just look at them. Acting like a couple. That poor old man, he'll probably be killed by that thing soon. It looks like a deviant. Wouldn't surprise me if it was" a third said
"That's it" hank yelled standing up "I have had enough of your s**t! Connor isn't just a f*****g android, he's my android! He has more skill and knowledge in one toe than you do in all three of your bodies! And for f***s sake Connor wouldn't kill me! He would never lay a finger on me like that! So if you want to get to your destination in one piece I'd shut the f**k up!" Hank's face was bright red in embarrassment and anger
"As if you'd do anything" one laughed
Hank reached for his pocket and pulled out his gun aiming it at the big mouth.
"Hank, please don't" Connor said, standing up and placing a hand on his shoulder "it's okay. They're not hurting anyone and so neither should you..."
The bus came to a stop. Hank sighed placing his gun back in his pocket and they left the bus.
"You didn't have to do that" Connor mumbled
"They were ridiculing you. Of f*****g course I had to do it. I couldn't just sit there and let them s**t all over you!" Hank grumbled "I care about you Connor and it hurts me when other people insult you like that. I know it's hypocritical of me since I spent so long hating you and the others but you really opened my eyes"
Connor wasn't sure what to say so he gently wrapped his arms around Hank. They stood for a minute until Hank pulled away, tears forming at his eyes, Connor gently wiped them away
"Thank you Hank..."
"Whatever, lets go"
After walking for 10 minutes they arrived at the mall and began looking around. They first entered a suit shop. Hank got Connor measured and purchased a navy blue suit much like his uniform but without the cyberlife makings. They then went to a smaller clothes shop and purchased several shirts, two hairs of trousers and a pair of shorts. Hank also decided that he would order Connor some police uniform too. They left the mall and began walking home, hand in hand again. Once they were almost back Connor decided to start a conversation.
"Lietena- Hank, I just want to thank you again" Connor smiled
"For the clothes? It only cost $150. I was expecting it to be more in all honesty. But it's fine. I'd rather you have something nice you can wear instead of wearing that goofy uniform all the time" Hank laughed "I mean... it's kinda cute but wearing it all time is really unhygienic"
"Not just that... you took me in Hank. You stood up for be earlier. You've protected me... and... I'm so thankful for it"
"Hey, I'm not going to let anyone hurt my android, you got that?" Hank reached into his back pocket for his keys
Connor nodded and smiled as he waited for Hank to unlock the door. They then entered the house.
"Come on, I have a draw you can use for your stuff" Hank said leading Connor to his room. He opened a draw and sat down on the bed while his android put his clothes away.
Connor then stood up and looked over at hank. Hank grabbed Connor's hand and pulled him into his lap. Hank gently pressed his lips against Connor's. The android leaned into the kiss and held Hank's hand.
Hank pulled away and placed a hank on Connor's face
"Listen Connor, I don't care what they say, you're special. You may be a deviant but I know you wouldn't hurt me. You've helped me so much and even though that means you've disobeyed cyberlife it means you've helped save an old man from... just. Don't listen to what those stupid fuckers say. If anyone, and I mean ANYONE hurts you, you better f*****g tell me right away. I wouldn't let anyone hurt you or take you away from me..." Hank said with a stern voice
"You saved me too Hank. Thanks to you I've opened my eyes and you have given me hope. I know that one days humans and androids can live in peace. But for now... I'm happy just sitting in your company" Connor smiled
They hugged again and sat in silence until sumo bounded in the room and jumped up on the bed, knocking the two over
"Sumo for f***s sake! We were having a moment!" Hank yelled
"He's just a dog, he doesn't know any better" Connor laughed stroking sumo's fur.
