Behind them, Carmen tapped furiously on her wristpad. “Still scanning, but I’m picking up strange energy bursts—coded pulses.”
“Encrypted?” Leon asked.
“No,” Carmen replied. “It’s something else. It’s like… a biological signal. A wake-up call.”
Serena frowned. “For what?”
