Angel was used to being surrounded by her cousins at school. She was in a brand new environment with no one who spoke Spanish in her class, she had seen 2 Latina looking girls when she got to school and everyone else was white. She was getting settled into class when a couple of girls came up to her, they introduced themselves as Lindsey and Stacey. Angel could only say a couple words in English because back home she didn't really have to speak English because the teachers spoke Spanish. Angel could sing in English more than she could speak it. Little did she know those 2 girls would become her BFF's for the next 6 years.
Maria and Sonya were the girls who Latina at her school, Maria would become a good friend into Angel's later years.
School was always fun for Angel because she always did good in Math, Reading and Science. Angels hated writing.
2nd grade was going to be a new experience for the Guzman family. Mario was making friends left and right so was Mindy. Angel made 4 friends but she was missing all of her family. She had to get used to the idea she wasn't going to be seeing them everyday of her life now.
