“No, no, no—watch the window!" Zoe ducked as the blue orb narrowly missed the top of her head and careened off the thin strip of wall between two sets of windows. It landed on the tile floor and splintered. “Sorry." I leaned against the bed. I'd been awake for four days now, and most of the time I felt completely normal.
