He broke the seal and pulled out a folded piece of paper. The six-by-four sheet had a spider-headed emblem embossed into the paper. Williams began to smile wickedly as he read. His gaze moved across to where Mr Charles was standing. He was talking to another smaller man whom Williams did not recognise. Williams refolded the paper and placed it back into the envelope. Slowly he slid it into his jacket pocket and walked into the room as though he was floating on air. Williams spied the woman sitting next to the bar, and she was very alone. To her amazement, he simply walked up to her and kissed her on the lips. Everyone looked at them for a moment and then carried on with their conversations.
