With the snipers gone, Steel knew he was going to have to move. The containers would provide cover and plenty of shadows. The top cover had been taken care of, so now it was a matter of minimising the numbers. Steel slung his rifle and took the sniper’s 9mm Glock 17 and a couple of spare magazines he had found in the man’s jacket pocket. Steel slid out the magazine from the pistol grip, pushed down on the top bullet with his thumb. It was stiff with little give, a good spring, little chance of feed jams.
