How’s school?” Davis Rodriguez asked, my dad, with his usual humorless face while slicing the fork in his plate.

I paused from eating. It was a routine, they’d ask me about my day or my academic performance, to be exact, when they visited me in my condo, which is rare. They are both doctors. Given the fact about it, they are both busy working and taking care of their patients, especially since they are both surgeons in different fields. They don’t have time to visit me often in my condo just to ask how my grade is.

It just happened that they had time today, to visit me at my condo and have dinner with me. I also just ordered food at a nearby restaurant in my condo and prepared it for them. Good thing is that my condo is always clean, so I didn’t do anything that much. My younger sister, Sophia Rodriguez, wasn’t around for I don’t know why. Maybe mom and dad didn’t take her with them because they went straight to my condo after their shift.

They are still wearing their scrubs and white coats on top of it. So, I guess they just finished their shifts when they came here to my condo. I was reading some books earlier when they called and said that they were already on the way to my condo, so even if I wanted to just read all day, I had no choice but to stop reading and prepare for them.
