However, Carim slapped her hand away from his chest and took several steps away from her. Queen Lizvy's face fell immediately but she remained rooted to the spot.
"What - -what --" He took a deep breathe and exhaled like she had instructed before attempting to speak again. "What did you just say?"
"Carim." She found her feet moving on their own accord and before she knew it, she was trying to hold him again but he screamed venomously at her, his eyes glazing with hate and his face darkening. It was the most scary she had seen him in and reacting to the harshness in his voice, she took several steps back.
