Miranda sat on the sofa in the living room, deep in thought. It had been months since Carim left and he was yet to return. It was all the more sickening that she had not the slightest idea how he was or if he was even alive. Had the war gone well? Had they won or had he been killed in the process? She shook her head vehemently, chiding herself for nursing such thoughts. She had tried not to think about him dying ever since he left but she could not tell how long she could go without doing that. She could not contact him neither did she know the route to where he was.
