I sprinted across the room, my feet pounding the floor with a loud thud, thud, thud. I was imagining grasping my diary from the desk and the wooden legs scraping against the floor with a faint screech.
My mind races with thoughts, I quickened my pace, my breathing rapid and shallow. I burst through the classroom door, the hinges creaking in protest, and skidded to a stop, my sneakers squeaking in the polished floor.
Panting heavily, I bent forward, My hands on my knees, My head hung low. If I had actually run in a marathon, I would have won hands down, I thought, My chest heaving.
My gaze was fixed on the floor, My eyes tracing the pattern of the tiles. Suddenly, a low, smooth voice broke the silence. "Why are you back here?" it asked.
I raised my head, My eyes locking onto Sebastian, who was leaning against the wall, His arms crossed, His eyes narrowed. His voice was like silk, smooth and effortless.
I swallowed hard, my throat dry. "I forgot something," I replied, My voice barely above a whisper.
Sebastian's eyes widened in a silent "oh" as he sauntered towards me, His hands casually tucked in his pockets.
I was taken aback by his slow, deliberate approach, wondering what prompted this unusual behavior. Was it necessary? I thought, My mind racing with possibilities.
Meanwhile a voice in Sebastian's head exclaimed! "Oh mate, she's so beautiful. she smells like vanilla mixed with minty scent," Sin, his wolf, was clearly enthralled. Sebastian, however, pushed the thought aside and fixed his gaze intently in my face.
I broke the silence, my voice firm but annoyed, "You do realize you are obstructing my view!" I glared at him, trying too convey my growing irritation.
Sebastian slowly removed his hands from his pockets, his eyes never leaving me, and replied, "I didn't realize."
I pressed in, My patience wearing thin. "Now you do, can you please excuse me? I asked, trying to sound polite despite my growing frustration. What's he feeling like? I wondered, sensing a strange tension in the air. Sebastian response caught me off guard.
"What if I don't?" he asked, a sly smile spreading across his face. I was taken aback, my mind racing to understand his intention.
Sebastian let out a deep sigh and commented. "You sure are a difficult person to crack. You can actually go again by asking me to excuse you." His voice was laced with amusement, His eyes sparkling with mischief.
I bristled at his words, my anger rising. "Are you for real? You are my med lab teacher and you are acting all nutty! move!! or I'm going to push you away!" I gave him a hard glare, my eyes flashing with irritation. The audacity to tell me shits like that, I thought, my mind racing.
Sebastian replied, with a seductive, devilish grin. "You can try," His voice was low and husky, his eyes glinting with challenge, i saw red. I pushed him away, my hands shoving against his chest.
He laughed right away, the sound deep and throaty, his eyes crinkling at the corners. What's so funny, I thought, my anger boiling over.
I had to stop in my track and look in his direction. "You're daring for someone like me, and lucky you, I like it," he said, his voice low and husky. He moved really fast, his long strides closing the distance between us.
I was shocked, my eyes widening in suprise. That was weird, I thought, my mind reeling. I opened my eyes widely and adjusted my head backward, trying to create some space between us.
He was pretty close, his face inches from mine. I could feel his warm breath on my skin, his eyes burning with intensity. "I'll see you in the lab, MATE," he whispered in my ears, His warm breath sending shivers down my spine. He flashed a charming smile and left, leaving me standing there looking dumbfounded.
I asked myself, What's with the mate? Why the f**k would he call me that? What a big jerk! I hissed, my anger and frustration simmering just below the surface.
I marched to my locker, yanked it open, and reached in to grab my diary. But it wasn't there. My heart sank, and I felt a surge of fear, This wasn't funny at all. I wondered if I'd lost it or if someone had taken it.
I thoroughly searched every nook and cranny of my locker, then retreated my steps from the classroom to the spot where I stood, trying to remember every detail.
Ugh, I knew something would go wrong the moment I set foot in this goddamn forsaken college, and now this was happening. My mind was in total chaos, and I couldn't control myself. I felt like I was in the verge of a panic attack, my breath coming in short gasps.
"No..no..no! This can't be happening! I f*****g left it in this locker! Who the hell took my diary? No way, f**k!!!" I exclaimed, slamming my hands hard on the table in frustration. The impact stung my palms, but I didn't care. I was so angry and panicked.
Some minutes later, I exclaimed again in shock. "Oh no!! lab!!! Why does my life have to be like this on the first day?" I ran quickly to the lab, my footsteps echoing, my heart racing with anxiety. When I arrived, I realized they had already started the experiment.
I could hear beakers clinking and murmurs of conversation. Damn!! Sebastian took a quick glance at me, and smiled knowingly, a sly sidelong glance, aware of the reason for my tardiness.
I walked into the lab and opened the door widely, a creaking sound was heard, hoping he would let me join the others despite my late arrival. I cleared my throat, making an ahem sound and trying to sound calm.
"You are late, Miss," Sebastian said, his neutral face betraying no emotion.
I narrowed my eyes at him and replied, "I'm sorry," feeling reluctant to give an apology. I wanted to blurt out, I'm basically late because of you, asshole! but I clenched my teeth to avoid unnecessary conflict.
Sebastian continued, his tone stern, matter of fact. "Not my fault you're late. Everyone is paired up and has already started a few minutes ago, so kindly step outside." He had me a brusque gesture towards the door.
Here comes the boring talk, I thought, his words feeling like a cold, hard slap in the face, which gave me a stinging sensation.
From the moment I came in, Clinton had been stealing glances at me, giving me a sly sidelong look, and I averted my gaze quickly away and then left the lab to wait outside, my footsteps echoing and the door creaking.
An hour later, everyone had finished with the experiment. They left their frameworks on the bench before leaving, I could hear clattering of equipment and shuffling of feet.
Alexa and Clinton walked over to where I stood outside the lab, I heard approaching footsteps, they wanted to question me, but were Interrupted by Sebastian's voice cutting in firm and authoritative, "The miss outside should come in to begin her experiment."
I fumed with anger when I heard these words, I clenched my teeth, narrowed my eyes and thought, I would soon punch a med lab teacher then get myself expelled with no regrets.
"I would see you both later," I said with a brusque farewell, leaving them and entering the lab. it was just Alexa and Clinton facing each other with an awkward silence, then she asked with an hesitant tone.
"You want to grab lunch with me?" she inquired gently.
"I don't think so, thanks for the suggestion, though. I'm going to..."
Alexa interrupted excitedly. "Going to go meet your friends over there, second time you're telling me this with a neutral face," She teased him. "Pftt.. it's fine, you can run along."
He looked at her surprisingly, raising an eyebrow and replied in an hesitant tone. "Sorry about that, okay? I think I might just change my mind. You can tag along, I don't want to look like a bad person," He gave an apologetic smile, paused and expected an answer.
When Alexa heard what he just said, her eyes widened, she jumped in excitement, bouncing up and down. She asked eagerly with an hopeful tone. "You mean I can have lunch with you?"
"Of course you can, and you wouldn't feel bored or lonely. Mirabel and her friend would also be there," he gave her a reassuring nod, and her smile slowly faded away, giving out a disappointed expression.
Then she soliloquize. Really? this handsome jerk doesn't even have a single idea that Mirabel is my perfect rival! What the f**k, Clinton? Ahh!!! Come on, Alexa you have to chill, and you still have to tag along, no matter what.
Alexa finally uttered in a resigned tone. "Fine!! let's go, I'm famished already," she gave out an exasperated sigh. They left for the cafeteria together, walking side by side with their footsteps echoing and a gentle conversation.
"So it's finally just me and you. You are miss?" Sebastian asked nonchalantly with his usual smirk on his face. He raised his eyebrows, his tone sly with a soft reverberation.
"Janet," I replied in a flat tone, avoiding eye contact, totally uninterested in moving on with the conversation. My voice firm but unenthusiastic. "I'm actually not interested in talking with you, so you can do me a favor by summarizing this experiment for me, or wait, don't worry and don't stress, Mr Sebastian, you don't have to. It's a simple experiment that doesn't require your assistance," I said with grinding teeth and dismissive wave, my hands gesturing.
Sebastian stood in front of me, and gave me his most charming smile, his white teeth and his dimples appearing, his eyes crinkling at the corners.
"You're funny," he giggled with an amazed tone, his laugher echoing throughout the lab, warm and soft. I left him and went to the last counter in the lab to start my experiment.
My footsteps echoing and my equipment clinking. The sound of glassware and instruments filling the air. Sebastian traced where I stood and walked towards me with the lab bench acting as a barrier between us. His footsteps approaching and the lab equipment separating us. His shoes made a squeak sound on the floor.
"May I know why you're standing in this secluded area?" Sebastian asked, looking at me with his seductive, devilish grin. His eyebrows raised, his voice low, smooth and velvet.
"Because I need some peace and quietness while I conduct my experiment, and you're a total distraction," I said in a frustrated tone, my eyes scanning his handsome face, and lingering on his features.
"That's great thing to know that I'm at least a distraction for you. A good or a bad one?" Sebastian asked, in a curious tone, scanning my face with a raised eyebrow. His shiny eyes sparkling with interest.
"The bad one, obviously. Can you leave so I can start with my experiment? I need to finish quickly," I rolled my eyes at him with an exasperated tone, my hands on my hips.
"Sure I would, and by the way, you're stunning," Sebastian said with a neutral face that flickered no emotion, complimenting me, his voice, matter of fact warm.
"Aren't you too outspoken for someone you just met today?" I asked in frustration, my hands on my hips, my voice raising in an incredulous tone. This must be the most outspoken guy I have ever met in my life, my mind racing with thoughts.
"Maybe it's because I like you," Sebastian replied with a beaming smile all over his face in a flirtatious tone, his eyes crinkling at the corners.
Was that supposed to give me butterflies? definitely not, but it did, I thought. My heart beating in an increased rate. I schooled my head and began my experiment with a focused look, the sound of glassware and instruments filling the air.
20 minutes after I was done, Sebastian stood up from his seat, the chair making a scraping sound, examined my work, his eyes scanning it and replied, "This is a very nice work. Guess your mind was really keen on it. You didn't even steal a glance at me, or maybe I'm not seductive enough. Next time, I would unbutton my shirt and stand in front of you, so your whole concentration would be on me. What do you think?" He smirked with a raised eyebrow. His voice low and husky.
I folded my hands into fists and was about to hit him, but my hands were grabbed by him in a quick grasp, pulled close to his chest by his strong arm, and I was held tightly in the waist, the grip firm. I tried to break free from him, as I struggled but he was too strong.
Have had enough, The nerve of this guy, I thought, my mind racing with indignation.
"What do you think you're doing Mr Sebastian? Let go of me right now! You pervert!" I said, forcefully in an outraged tone while squirming.
"Stop doing that and stand still," Sebastian spoke harshly with a touch of sexiness in his husky voice, his eyes locked on mine, giving me an intensive gaze.
Surprisingly i freezed, and we both looked each other in the eyes for some seconds, before he pushed me against the wall, with my arms stretched. This is getting crazier, I thought. My mind racing with anxiety.
