"Take him." Dante ordered. Two of his men immediately came into the room and picked the other guy Dante spared. Spared? With the rage in Dante, death seemed like a mercy to the others. My gaze left the guy that wa seeing taken away, as I saw Dante walk closer to me. He squatted immediately he reached me, with jaw clenched hard. Watching him, he started undoing the buttons on his black shirt, as he didn't let me have a say in what he does, and covered my exposed body with his shirt. Not a word still exited his lips, as I could only stare at him, not even know what I also wanted to say. "Dante..." His name exited my lips weakly. But Dante didn't respond, rather I felt him pick me up in his arms and carried me out of the room. The move was swift, such that my eyes weakened and my sight blurred, and the next thing I felt was total darkness. "Yes, three racks would be fine for now." My eyes fluttered open, only to close again, yet, my ears picked up sounds that came from around. "All the same size I mentioned." A groan escaped my lips, with the splitting headache that bombarded me suddenly. "You're awake." My eyes fluttered open again, with the familiar voice I heard. White ceiling are the first to greet, with dark curtains and a black Custom hardwoods door with detailed Shaker designs. "How are you?" The same familiar voice sounded beside me, taking my gaze to turn to the side, only for my breath to hang in my throat. Dante. Dante was beside me. But no, my breath didn't hang because I was scared of Dante, it was because of how close he was to me. I registered every detail on his, from his chiseled chin to his pointed nose and well structured lips, and I couldn't help but find myself admiring his handsome features. And then, he had the first three buttons of his shirt open, letting me glance at his well built chest, but that was only for a limited time, as my. Breath could only hand for a while before making me cough out. "I'll get water, be calm." Dante stood up from beside him, as I could only watch him pour water into a glass cup from the table, whereas I still coughed. "Here, take it easy." Dante came back. "Can you try to sit up? I'll raise you up." Dante didn't wait for me to talk as he dropped the water on the bedside table and came to support my head to take me to sit up. "Dante..." Was the only name I could manage to speak before coughing. "Shhh...take the water first." Everything felt surreal, as Dante put the glass on my lips while he fed me the water to drink. I could only drink a little, as my throat felt heavy to even swallow, as so did my neck. "I think I have a concussion." I closed my eyes feeling the wave of headache hit me in a false, alongside the memories that cane washing in. "Dante." Dante's name came out of my lips again, but this time not soft but feared. "Elena, easy." Dante seemed to have seen the fear in my eyes and tone, as he pulled away the glass and dropped it. "Where am I?" My eyes scanned my environment the more. This wasn't the prison I was in earlier. "Where am I Dante?" I asked again. "Relax Elena, you're in my house." Dante said and my gaze shifted back to him urgently, neglecting my stiff neck. "Owww..." oh I sure paid the price for that. "I told you to relax. The doctor said you have a concussion and you might not be able to move your neck properly for a few days." Dante told me. "To whose fault is that?." My tone came offended. "Elena..." Dante stood up from beside me. "I would never touch a woman." Dante said. "Charley that's not true." I responded angrily. "They acted out of my orders." Dante said. "Whose orders was it ti have clothes delivered to the cell YOU kept me in." I told Dante to his face. "Whose orders was it, that I get to be treated like an animal? Whose orders is it that I get to be beaten as though I had committed an offense and humiliated as though I wasn't human." Tears I wasn't even aware of stripped down my eyes, as I recalled what had happened. Dante went silent for a second, with his gaze only staring hard at me. "See, you can't say a word." I answered my own questions. "I can't say a word because I am ashamed of what happened to you." Dante spoke. "I have been out of town for a month and when I got back, I asked for you and told my men to bring in fresh clothes for you so you could change into. It want and would never be in my intentions or my orders of what they did solely..." "But they are still your men. They are still under your orders." I cut Dante off, as with each word brought back painful memories of relieving what took place. "I thought...I thought I was going to die." The words escaped my lips. "At this point maybe that would be better off, because what did I do so wrong to deserve this." I bit my lip hard trying hard to hold the tears, but I couldn't. I couldn't at all. Why did I have to go through this, all because I witnessed what I shouldn't have? Why didn't have to be so unlucky. "I'm sorry." I thought I didn't hear well. "Yes, they are my men and under my orders, for that I take full responsibility and I apologize to you Elena." Dante was apologizing to me. Dante pleaded for what he had done. It was foreign to me. Even though I do not know Dante, but not for once did he ever apologize to me when ic complained about the food they gave me or the cell he put me in. But here he was, apologizing to me. And for once I swear, I saw remorse on him. "Then you should let me go if you are." The words came out of my lips, not forgetting that I was still his hostage. Dante's face went hard again. "You're now under my protection Elena." Dante said. "And what the hell does that mean? I don't want to be under your protection. What the hell is that?" I spoke in frustration. "It means, you're mine now."
