CHAPTER 7

Manik was in his study room all night. Even Nandu didn't disturb him as she thought it would be good if she didn't disturb him at that moment. But so many things were running in her mind.

NANDU'S POV

WHATS WRONG WITH ME AYYAPPA, WHY DO I FEEL JEALOUS JUST IF SOMEONE TAKES MANIKS NAME WITH SOMEONE ELSE. HE IS MINE AND NO ONE CAN CHANGE IT. BUT WHAT IS THIS STRONG FEELING THAT I AM HAVING. AYOO AYYAPPA PLEASE HELP ME NA. I REALLY NEED TO KNOW. MANIK WENT THROUGH SO MUCH, HE NEED LOVE. I THOUGHT ONLY I WAS THE ONE TO GO THROUGH ALL THE ROUGH PATCHS, BUT HE IS STILL SO CONFIDENT, POSITIVE, LOVING. I JUST WISH HIM TI BE WITH ME ALL THE LIFE. I LIKE EVERYTHING HE DOES FOR ME. HE RESPECTS ME AND MY DECISIONS. I LNOW I AM SAFE AROUND HIM AND NO ONE CAN HARM ME. BUT I STILL DOUBT IS THIS LOVE. I MEAN FROM CHILDHOOD I ONLY GOT LOVE FROM MY CHACHA AS CHACHI AND SOHA USED TO HATE ME WITHOUT MY MISTAKE. BUT MANIK SHOWED ME MY WORTH, HE ACTUALLY STOOD BY MY SIDE AFTER MARRIAGE. AFTER OUR FIRST MEET I THOUGHT I WILL BE ONLY HIS BED WARMER BUT I WAS SO WRONG. HIS BEHAVIOUR, ATTITUDE AND EVERYTHING CHANGED AFTER OUR MARRIAGE. AND I GUESS ON OUR FIRST MEET IT WAS HIS MAINLY DESIRES AS HE SAW ME IN THAT REVEALING SAREE. WHAT MUST HAVE HAPPEN IF MANIK DIDN'T MARRY ME. I GUESS I WOULD HAVE BEEN IN A HOUSE WITH A GUY WHO USED TO LUST ABOUT MY BODY AND WOULD HAVE SOLD ME AFTER FULFILLING HIS DESIRES. MANIK ACTUALLY SAVED ME FROM ALL THAT CRUELTY BUT CAN I CALL THIS AS HIS LOVE.

LOVE! A FOUR LETTER WORD. SO SIMPLE TO SPELL IT BUT IT IS DIFFICULT TO DIFINE IT. IS IT ONLY PSYCHICAL RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN A GUY AND A GIRL. I GUESS NO ITS WAY BEYOND THAT. ITS SOMETHING THAT TWO PEOPLE SHARE BETWEEN THEM. IT MAY BE PAIN, GRIEF, HAPPINESS, BITTERNESS AND MUCH MORE. I GUESS LOVE IS SOMETHING WHICH A MOTHER SHOWS TO HER CHILD ITS SELFLESS, WE CAN ALSO FIND IN THE SECERT AND PROTECTIVENESS LOVE IN FATHERS LOVE, CAREFREE LOVE OF A SISTER, PROTECTIVE LOVE OF A BROTHER, SUPPORTIVE AND CRAZY LOVE OF OUR FRIENDS. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY UNDERSTANDING LOVE OF OUR PARTNER WHO GIVES US OUR INDIVIDUAL SPACE IN RELATIONSHIP AND ALSO STAYS AT OUR BACK TO SUPPORT US. EVERYONE MAY OR MAY NOT EXPERIENCE ANY OTHER TYPE OF LOVE BUT WILL SURELY EXPERIENCE PARTNERS LOVE. PARTNERS ARE NOT THOSE WHO ONLY WALK WITH EACH OTHER IN GOOD TIMES. BUT ALSO THEY HOLD OUR HAND TO SHOW THAT THEY ARE BESIDE US NO MATTER WHAT TO SUPPORT US IN EVERY SITUATION OF PIR LIFE. THEY UNDERSTAND EACH OTHER WITHOUT EXPRESSING MUCH. AND TAKE CARE OF THEMSELVES AS SOMEONE IS LIVING FOR THEM. THEY ALSO TAKE CARE OF EACH OTHERS HEART. LOVE IS WHEN ONE FEEL POSSESSIVE AND JEALOUS TO SEE YOU WITH SOMEONE ELSE OR EVEN TO IMAGINE SOMEONE IN HIS/HER PLACE IN YOUR LIFE.

AND IN OUR 3 YEARS OF MARRIAGE LIFE, MANIK FULFILLED AND FOLLOWED EVERY SINGLE THING. HE WAS MY MOTHER, FATHER, BROTHER, FRIEND AND MOST IMPORTANTLY MY PARTNER. MY SUPPORT SYSTEM IN MY LIFE. HE IS THE CENTRE OF MY LIFE. MY WORLD ACTUALLY REVOLVES AROUND HIM. I AM VERY POSSESSIVE AND JEALOUS WHEN GIRLS LOOK AT MANIK WITH LIST FULL EYES. EVEN WHEN MUKTI TOLD THAT SARA HAD FEELINGS FOR MANIK I COUL NOT TAKE IT. IF THIS IS WHAT IS LOVE THEN I GUESS I AM IN LOVE WITH MANIK, WITH MY HUSBAND.

Nandu realised the truth..

OMG I LOVE MANIK, HE IS MY MAN.

END OF NANDU'S POV

Nandu was happy and content as she realised that she loved Manik. And was sure that he also loved her but was confused whether to express this to him or wait for him. With this, having a beautiful smile, she slept.

And Manik was thinking about what Nandu said to him. He was in confusion about whether to forgive fab 3 and move on in life or let it be how it is. He misses his buddy Dhruv. He also missed Aliya and Mukti but was not sure whether he could let go of things. But after listening to what Nandu said, he wanted to give them a chance to fab 3, but he couldn't trust them completely.

Sometimes we go through so much in our life that we don't know if we should trust them back or not. The same happened with Manik. They broke his trust by not trusting him enough and they believed all those false allegations about him.

Being hella frustrated, he ended up in Cabir's room.

Cabir: What the hell manik? I know you love me more than your bubbly wife, but I also need to sleep baby..

Manik (disgustedly): Chii cabir. I am straight and I love my beautiful wife very much. So stop this nonsense.

Cabir (disappointed): I am even straight and I even love your wife, my choti.

Manik (irritated): Please cabir not now. Please, I request you.

Cabir: Okay tell me what brings you here at this hour, at night.

They both saw the clock and it struck 3:37 am.

Manik: Can we go near the pool and talk?

Sensing the seriousness in his voice, Cabir agreed and they went and sat near the pool by dipping their legs in water. And cabir was waiting for Manik to start as he guessed the thing that he wanted to talk about, but thought to be silent till he himself opened his heart to him.

Manik (After a long pause looking at the water): How can you trust fab 3 back again that easily?

Cabir: What if I say I didn't?

Manik wasn't expecting this so he was taken back and he looked at cabir with confusion.

Cabir: Yes you heard me right, I didn't really forgive or trust them back like we used to, but at the same time, they are not my culprits. So I told them I will only forgive or start to trust them back again if you forgive them or trust them back slowly like before.

Manik: But I am confused, cabir....

Cabir: Because of what nandu said ?

Manik just nodded his head.

Cabir: Ask your heart, Manik. What does it want? Does your heart want to forgive them or not? Nandu, me or anyone can't tell you to do anything if your heart doesn't accept it. We will only try to support you and stand by you if you fail or achieve something. But we are not the ones to make decisions about your life, we will just help you by putting some brain in you if you are taking any wrong step. If we say what you should actually do, then it will look like we are manipulating you some way or another. So you ask your heart what it actually wants? Are you happy without them in your life? Are you happy with the relationship you have now with them? Can you see how guilty they are? Ask these questions yourself and you will have your answer.

By saying this, Cabir left, leaving Manik alone as he was continuously yawning.

Manik sat there for almost 30 minutes asking himself those questions and at the end he got the answer and understood what to do. With a content smile and glow, he moved to his room and saw his beautiful wife, who slept wearing his shirt and clutching that shirt close to her heart to feel him and was having a beautiful smile on her face, which was surely increasing her beauty with the twilight (blue light from the sky before the sunrise) directly falling on her face. He smiled at his angel. And thought about getting some sleep.

Nandini stirs in sleep as the sun's rays are directly falling on her face while Manik is hiding in her hair to avoid it. Nandu opened her eyes and saw herself caged in her husband's clutches, who was back hugging her and hiding his face. Having a beautiful smile she slowly turned to face Manik and gave a peck on her forehead. Manik just smiled, feeling her lips, and slowly Nandini tried to untangle herself from his clutches. Being sleepy, Manik groaned and spoke

Manik: Baby please let me sleep.

Nandini: You sleep Manik, let me go. I will freshen up.

Manik tightened his hold on her and with closed eyes asked.

Manik: What's the time?

Nandini: To be precise, it's 6:47.

Manik (still with closed eyes): Do you have any important lectures today in college?

Nandini: Actually no, and I am even planning to skip so that I can plan my timetable for my exams.

Manik (whining but still with closed eyes): Then sleep for some more time na. I have texted cabir and fab3 to take a leave. I am not even going to the office, so please baby.

Nandini: Okay, but let me at least go to the washroom.

Manik freed her and Nandu quickly went to the washroom. After closing the curtains, she settled beside Manik. Who took her in a hug, within no time, as if he was waiting for her to come. Snuggling with Manik, even Nandu drifted back to sleep.

HERE IN COLLEGE

Navya: Yaar? What is wrong with Nandu? Manik Sir came and she totally forgot us.

Shivani: Let it be Navya. Anyways, there is no important class, so let her spend some time with her husband.

And Shivani winked at her. Aryaman did not at all like it.

Aryaman (absent minded): But they are not in their home.

Navya, Shivani and Meeraj gave him " How-do-you-know-look".

Aryaman: Guys, my mansion is just beside their mansion. So, yesterday, mistakenly, I only met SIR'S friends at their home. And now I have told you guys the truth about what I saw.

Meeraj gave him a nod but still Navya and Shivani found something fishy in his words. But still, for the time being, quiet.

Soon after college, they went to their respective homes. Being frustrated, Aryaman went to a club.

And a person was following him without his knowledge.

BACK IN MALHOTRA MANSION

Manan was cuddling and around at 11 am Nandu woke up completely and now she can't sleep more. So she stirred to remove Manik's hand, but by each passing second his hold got tighter. Slowly, he too opened his eyes and saw his beautiful wife. Nandu passed him a smile and spoke

Nandu: Let's freshen up

Manik just nodded his head and moved aside so that Nandu could go and she quickly went to the washroom to freshen up and got dressed in her pj's. Even Manik freshened up and he too wore pj's as they will be resting most today.

They went out to see fab4 sitting in the living room and they were also in PJ's. They were having coffee. Soon Manan too joined them. All were having coffee silently. None tired of speaking, having enough of this silence

Manik (calmly): Yesterday........ I had thought over the decision.

Turning to nandu..

Manik: You asked me right whether I can FORGIVE them (pointing finger towards Aliya, Mukti and Dhruv) or not..

Nandu, with a small smile, nodded her head yes.

Manik: Don't you want my answer?

Nandu (with a smile): Whenever you want to say, I know you will say it.

Manik (With a small smile): I - WILL - LIKE - TO - GIVE - THEM - A - CHANCE.

He said all the time, looking into Nandu's eyes.

Fab 4 took time to register the words he spoke just a while ago, but as soon as manik finished, Nandu just hugged him tightly by sitting on his lap. Soon, when fab 4 understood what he actually said, they were happy. Happy is a small word for them. They were beyond that. Aliya and Mukti were crying out of happiness, Cabir and Dhruv too had tears of happiness in their eyes. After settling up, the emotions, Nandu sat beside manik with a broad smile.

Manik (with smile looking at fab 4): I will forgive and will give a chance to Aliya, Mukti and Dhruv. But I need time to trust you guys. Yesterday I got to know I am nowhere completely happy without you guys. I can see how guilty you guys are, but I still need some more time to trust you guys. I asked my heart whether I was happy or not and the answer was a big no. Nandu, Dad and Fab 5, you guys are the reason why I am happy and content in life. I really don't like the relationship that we share now. So to bring back old fab 5, I am ready to give you guys a chance. But this will be your last chance of yours. If, in future, if at all, I face the same situation and see that you guys again stabbed me again without trusting me, then. I might break.......

He couldn't complete as dhruv, mukti and aliya just hugged him with all the force and spoke.

Fab 3: NEVER IN LIFE WE WILL DO THAT..... NEVER EVER...

Even cabir too joined then and made it as a group hug. While Nandu was sitting with a broad smile and tears following from her eyes.
