CHAPTER 5

So, making Nandu sleep and checking her one last time, he reached the study room. Manik entered the study room in an absent mind. So he didn't notice fab 3.

Cabir: Manik what happened ? ( he asked with concern ).

Manik: ( realising his surroundings) nothing was just thinking about Aryaman.

Cabir: what about Aryaman?

Manik ( sighing deeply): I knew about Aryaman way before you did. When Nandu was in her 1st year, from that time, I had my guy following Aryaman as I had a doubt about him. And you know who Aryaman is by his surname.

Fab 4 has no idea as they were blank. And blankly all nodded no.

Manik: he is Aryaman Verma. Small brother of Ashutosh Verma and Sara Verma. And now the soul owner of the Verma industries. He has a crush on Nandini. And from my sources, I got to know that he wanted to take revenge on me, but instead, when he saw Nandini he dropped that idea and thought about separating her from me and marrying her, as from this he would give me pain and would also get his love. I knew this from the start, but I didn't want to stress anyone, so I didn't share it with anyone. And now he wants to take revenge on me just because of these 3 members.

At the end, he was angry.. and was about to lose control when the study room door got opened. And Nandini stood there.

Nandini walked slowly towards Manik. And here everyone was scared as they didn't know if she had listened to what he ever said or not. And if she listened to it, then how was she gonna react? And what will fab 3 do if she will also hate them.

Manik was more worried at the thought of how she would react. But composing himself.

Manik: baby what are you doing? You have college tomorrow and why did you wake up suddenly at this hour?

Nandu( blankly ): I will answer your questions but you have to promise me that you will all tell me the truth about the questions I have.

Manik was not getting good vibes. He was hell tensed but nodded his head, giving her approval.

Nandu: I woke because someone was continuously throwing small pebbles from the window. I thought the window was open so I woke to check it but it was closed and someone was deliberately trying to break the window glass from the opposite mansion. So I got scared, then thought about waking up Manik. But he was not there so I went there in search of him.

Everyone was now sure who did this and now scared as they all treated Nandu as their little sister and, for Manik, she was his 1st love, wife and cute baby.

Manik just hugged and tried to calm himself more than her. After 5 mins, Nandu broke the hug and went near fab 3.

Nandu: di and bhai. I am your sister right.

Fab 3 nodded their heads confusingly. As why is she asking this?

Nandu: then what you guys did that Manik is blaming you guys. I am not supporting anyone, but I know Manik will not hurt or blame anyone unwanted and I also know that you guys didn't do anything. So please tell me.

Mukti ( with tears ): you never have to say please choti. We will tell you.

Flash back

Fab5 were in their last year of college. And they were studying in space. They were jamming in their jam room when suddenly the door opened and a girl walked in and she wore a seductive dress.

The girl is Sara Verma.

( Erica Fernandes as Sara Verma:

She is a stubborn head. She gets what she wishes for in the blink of an eye. She is a friend of Alya and Mukti as she wants to marry Manik and in return she just has to be a fake good friend and give some money to them. She wanted Manik as he was a billionaire's son. She can be a queen if he marries her. She is obsessed with Manik and even her elder brother ( Ashutosh Verma) helps her to get Manik as it will be helpful for his business.

Cabir and Manik don't like her but tolerate her just for Alya and Mukti. Dhruv is neutral. )

Manik, cabir and Dhruv feeling uncomfortable seeing her in that dress. They feel shy seeing her like that. Alya and Mukti started praising her for her clothes choice. And she just went and hugged Manik. She was clinging on to him.

Sara: baby let's just go to my place. What to say? and she winked.

Manik didn't even see her by lifting her eye lids. He just politely slipped from her hold, packed his things and rushed out of the jamming room. And here Sara was fuming in anger.

Sara: how dare he? Just for him, I dressed up so sexily and came here. But seeing him, he is showing a bloody attitude to me. I will never leave him. I want him by hook or by crook.

She just left from there angrily. Alya and Mukti followed her ( but Dhruv thought they followed Manik ). Where as Cabir left in search of Manik ( Dhruv knew he would even go behind Manik ) sitting alone and thinking something silently.

DHRUV'S POV

Why is everyone behind Manik? Alya, Mukti, cabir, Sara, the whole college, everyone damn person just cares about THE GREAT MANIK MALHOTRA. Damn it. I have to do something or else I will be just his shadow. I have to create my own identity. DAMN THIS MALHOTRA. Enough of his madness. Like everyone goes mad just seeing him. Can't they see me. Am I just his band member and shadow? Even when we have to make an album or participate in any competition, everyone looks for his approval. Is he any god? We are a band, damn it, the producers can't understand. They have to take everyone's approval, but instead of that, they only try to seek THE GREAT MANIK MALHOTRA'S approval.

While thinking about all this, he breaks his guitar in a rage and just leaves college. And while going, he thinks about dropping a message, but he thinks no one really cares about him. So he just placed a note in the jam room saying he was feeling unwell, so he left for home.

And on the other hand, Mukti and Alya went in search for her but got to know that Sara had left her home in anger, so they went inside the jam room and found the note that Dhruv left. They also kept a note with Dhruv's note and also sent a message to the group informing Cabir and Manik that they 3 had left. And went to Sara's house.

And here Cabir was with Manik to control him as he was frustrated. After receiving Alya's message, Cabir and Manik left for Manik's place.

And here at Sara's house, Alya and Mukti made a plan along with Sara. So that Sara can marry Manik and also give them a luxury life.

Alya and Mukti thought that Sara genuinely loved Manik. They don't know her evil intentions. As Mukti and Alya are from an upper middle-class family. They thought while helping her they could get some money by which they could start up a fashion house and get fame and money easily. But Sara's intentions were completely opposite the way as she just wanted Manik's money and a name in society where she was Manik Malhotra's wife. She doesn't love him. In fact, Sara saw Manik's face after knowing that he was a billionaire's son.

Present:

Alya: we really didn't know her intentions. Me and Mukti always thought that she loved Manik and would provide him with a warm love which he was lacking. We got to know her intentions on Manik's birthday. We tried to stop her. But she and her brother manipulated Dhruv. So we couldn't actually stop her even after trying a lot.

And because of this, Alya and Mukti cried, remembering what happened on that day.

Dhruv ( looking down, with tears in his eyes ): I am sorry Nandu and my buddy. That Ashutosh verma manipulated me so badly that I couldn't think the other way. I still had hope that what he was telling me was a big lie. But at that time I didn't realise it. And when I realised it, then everything was ruined. I miss my buddy choti. I miss him very badly. So that's why, even after, he ignores us. We show up every day so that he can see how guilty we are. Ask him to just to look in my eyes just for once. If he didn't find any honesty, even a slight bit of it. Then I myself will never show up.

At the end, he was crying terribly as Manik was his only family, his bestie, his buddy. As Dhruv's parents were dead in a car accident. Manik took care of him as his little brother and buddy. With time and because of people around him, Dhruv changed, but Manik was still there for his buddy. Even Cabir can't take the place which Dhruv has in Manik's life. But Cabir never complained about it as he knows how important he is in manik's life.

Nandini just went and hugged him. After 5 mins she spoke.

Nandu: Bro just give him some more time. You know it takes just a second to break the trust but it takes years to build it. I am sure you can re-build the trust. You realised your mistake. That's what matters.

After that, without saying anything to anyone, she just went and hugged Manik. Which was actually needed by him. As he recalled everything and was controlling himself. Here Cabir understood why she did it but kept quiet. Now Cabir was sure that she was the right girl for him.

Being in a hug, Nandu said

Nandu: Mukku and alya di please continue and please don't stop in middle.

Accepting that, Mukti again started to tell while crying..

FLASH BACK

So it had been almost 15 days since Mukti Alya and Sara made a plan just so that Manik would fall in love with Sara. But Mukti and Alya just knew half of the plan. The rest Sara didn't disclose it to them as she wanted to trap Manik to marry her, with or without his consent.

The plan was simple. Mukti and Alya have to convince Manik to come with them alone to a place where Sara had planned a date for him. And after dropping him, Mukti and Alya have to leave. And here Sara would propose to Manik and ask him to take his all the time in the world and she could wait for him.

This was the plan which Mukti and Alya knew. And they did accordingly. After that, they both left for their places.

But the next day, Manik went to London for 5 days as his dad asked him to check that branch as it was facing some problems. After he came back to India, he went to sleep because of jet lag, but when fab 4 got to know that he was finally in India, they rushed to Malhotra's mansion. And woke up Manik.

Manik: hi guys... what happened?

Cabir: do you know what happened here in India after you left? And more about why did you leave India for 5 days? Where did you go?

Manik: chill cabir. I went to London as dad said the branch over there was facing some problems and he couldn't visit, so he asked me if it was okay for me to go and solve the problem. Why are you getting hyper?

Dhruv: because you are using fab 5 to do all the illegal activities and you are a womaniser. How can you sleep with Sara and her friends? And on top of that, how can you say those things about fab5, who was like a family to me. How can you Manik?

Manik ( shocked ): What!!!!!!! are you mad Dhruv? What are you even blabbering? Don't you know me ? How can you say that I am a womaniser when I bloody didn't even lay my eyes on any girl.

Alya ( disgusted): shut up Manik. We saw all the pictures and we got to know the truth. How bloody cheap and fucker you are.

Mukti ( angrily): how can you do like that, Manik? How can you be into illegal activities? WOMAN TRAFFICKING its heights Manik Malhotra. You disgust me. I feel disgusted to be friends with you. Is this how you are getting money and all these properties?

Manik was shocked to react. As his friends, whom he thought was his family, were accusing him. He couldn't believe or utter a word. He was rooted in his place. His mind was not in a proper state. But he needed to know the truth. So he just left from there for his personal balcony to make some calls. Here Mukti, Alya and Dhruv leave the house being angry. Cabir knew that something was missing, so he went to Manik.

Manik felt someone's presence and he more precisely knew that it was cabir. So said

Manik ( slow voice ): Is there anything left for you to say? Or everything is done.

Cabir: I didn't accuse you.

Manik: but you were silent.

Cabir: because I know my brother. If he is right, he doesn't need to justify around his people. And if he justifies it, then the people are not close to him. So I don't want that justification of that from you.

Manik (chuckling ): but you didn't defend me either.

Cabir: because I know that my brother can take care of himself in front of everyone and I am their from him in the back silently like a shadow invisible to everyone to protect and provide a shoulder to lean on.

That's it for Manik. He cried for some time hugging cabir. Cabir knew his vulnerability. So Cabir just stood there to give him the needed support.
