Chapter 10 Wynn gazed at the painting with a critical eye. It wasn’t doing what he wanted it to. “I’ve lost it,” he growled, slapping the paintbrush he was holding down on the pallet. “You’ll ruin the brush doing that.” Wynn whirled around defensively, even though he recognized the voice. Then he smiled. “Right now, I’m not sure it matters, Maribel. I’m not doing anything creative with it.” She came over, putting her arm around his waist as she studied the painting. “It’s not your best work by far, I’ll give you that.
