To A New World

Prologue

26th June 20xx,

Federation of Nova,

Novan 2nd fleet convoy of diplomatic and foreign affairs, 

en route back to Phoulby naval base of the Southern front,

6:37 p.m.

Delegation of diplomats with its armed escort are returning to their homeland after they have done forming the hopefully successful peace pact with the Erusian and the rest of the world, and eventually they did. Now it is time to rebuild the nation and society, as they are planning to be united under the name of Global Union and assisting the restoration of Strangereal environment for the better.

FNS Sontorio, the first of Sontorio class future stealth multirole destroyer is leading the convoy on their way back to Nova. Its captain, Cpt. Zavi Mikhael is at the main deck, scanning the sea over the horizon of seemingly a beautiful setting sun in the west. 

His XO, Rodney is standing next to him in a leisure chat between those two.

"Thank god the conference went well than we thought. I expect we will face difficulties, especially from the Erusian since their princess often visit our soil recently. They acted overprotective, if you ask me,"

Zavi chuckles to the thought of his mate, replying.

"A bit, yeah. But you cannot blame them for doing so. After all, they are very loyal to their monarchy institution. Though I personally dislike such ruling system, as long as they do not mess up then we all are good. Speaking of which, I assume you have heard about the rumor recently,"

"You mean the one about her and Trigger? Yeah, I heard that a lot. Even in this ship, you cannot fall ears off other crew mates talking about it. Those two sure gained a lot of attention." Says Rodney.

Lately, there is saying that the popular Three Strikes and the Erusian princess are going out together. In other words, they are in an intimate relationship, or so they thought. Nevertheless, it does not ditch the fact that he was the one who ended both World Wars; one against the Erusia and one against the alien monstrosities. Societies are looking high upon him, both out of fear and admiration from all around the globe. Just say his name, almost all of people would speak of his deeds and wonders. 

Even with all this credit and praise, yet Trigger himself remain humble and kind to other. Like the resemblance of former President Harling. He does not even care about all the glory and fame he possesses, simply reflecting himself as a soldier and a human to help other people. No more, no less. 

"Well, not like we are against them even if the rumor is indeed true. Hell, it would rather be beneficial for all of us in accelerating this peacekeeping process ahead of time planned." Rodney giving his thought.

Zavi holds the tip of his hat, adjusting the position around the forehead. 

"You do have a point. I hope they announce their engagement sooner or later,"

"My, my. Captain, aren't you rather interested in this kind of topic?"  the XO teases.

Zavi let out a sigh. " What can I do? I am a bachelor myself for almost two decades. This old man some romance too in his life,"

"Oh, stop whining about it. Your time will come, captain. Believe it"

"What are you? Naruto?" the captain grins on the fact that his XO is also a weeb. He even once saw him sleeping with a nude body pillow of his 'waifu' or what is it called again? Dakimakura? Well, after he found out Rodney asked him to keep this a secret between the two.

"yosh, dattebayo!"

"Okay, stop now. I do not want you to show your weebful side now. Not here, they will find out"

"Whatever you say, captain."

The convoy finally arrives at the port base and a banquet is already held to celebrate their return and success of mission. Even the Marshal is there to roll in the fun with the fellow sailors. Unbeknownst to them, miles away in snowy region of Nova, in a lab hidden deep within the earth, a group of scientists are running a test on a weird crafted contraption lying at the center of a wide circle area of white colored background with machinery and wires wrapped all over it. The sphere-like object is now pulsating slowly in a gleaming bluish light, sending electromagnetic wave in a weak state. 

 "..... And now, we shall begin our final evaluation. Preparation completion is 100% and steady." A man in his sixties checking the necessary things for the test to be carried out. His 

"Again, are you sure this time it will go properly as planned?" his partner breaking some sweats. There is nervousness in his tone of voice.

"Yes, I am totally sure. With this, we can set sail to venture farther stars and search for new planet to inhabit. Now, let's begin, shall we?"

"If you say so..." He then presses a button on the pad that he grasps. 

The atmosphere round the lab turns gloomy as the beating pulses of the sphere starts to increase rapidly. Out of nowhere, a brilliant light beams blindingly, engulfing everything in sight before the condition becomes quiet, as if nothing have ever happen.
