*edited* She woke up to find Nick staring at her. He looked away when she shot up a brow. "What are you doing here Nick?" she asked trying to get out of his grip. He surely wasn't letting her go. "What do you think I'm doing?" he asked pulling her closer and there she was, thinking she couldn't get any closer. She looked at him in surprise, speaking nothing. "I belong here, here in your arms. We should start over again. Just give me a chance" she heard and wasn't sure if she was awake yet. She must surely be dreaming. She shook her head and blinked again. This wasn't true, that much she knew. "Honey, I haven't met a more nitwitted brain than yours" he laughed which made her go still. She stared at him not knowing how to respond. She could feel the walls closing down on her. Nick got bigger and bigger. She sat up in her bed with a gasp. God, it was a dream. A dream. She willed herself not to think about getting back together with him. She came down for breakfast and saw that Nick was reading a newspaper at the table. Mrs Molly was bringing in the dishes and they smelled amazing. She sat farthest from him. If he noticed that, he didn't say anything. They enjoyed their food and compliments were thrown at Mrs Molly. She looked very happy and cleared away the dishes. "Get dressed, we're going out" he said, not lifting his head from the newspaper. Honey didn't bother to respond. She went into the kitchen and helped Mrs Molly with the dishes. "So, have you found anyone yet?" Honey asked and Mrs Molly frowned. "What happened to the librarian, Smith, if I'm not wrong" Honey wriggled her eyebrows. Mrs Molly sighed loudly. "He had to move away." Honey thought she would explode. She walked into Nick's room and found him writing something. "You are incorrigible! You made Smith move when you knew Mrs Molly liked him. How could you?" Nick looked at her as he closed the book. "How nice of you to ask me whether I was the reason Smith had to move." "I don't have to. It has you written all over it" she breathed out. "I only told him to stay away from Mrs Molly, I did not ask him to move away. And before you can jump to more conclusions, I'll let you know that Smith was only interested in Mrs Molly's ancestral property." That brought her up short. "He seemed nice" she said. "Yes, everyone seems nice to you. He was a constructor who was promised the contract of building a mansion, if he could manage to get the adjacent property, which is Mrs Molly's." "Why didn't you tell Mrs Molly then?" "She'd be heartbroken. One man makes her believe he's in love with her and she find out it was false? All over again. It would be a repeat of what her husband did. You know how much she loves her ancestral home. Her sisters live there, her nieces and nephews." "Still, you should have told her." "I couldn't bring myself to do that to her. She at least thinks there was one man who loved her. You know how sensitive she is. And to tell her that it was all an act. You know she'll only blame herself. I can't do that. She's like my mother and you know it. Tell her if you wish, I won't stop you." Truth be told, Honey couldn't do it either. Nick was right. Mrs Molly had only blamed herself when her husband had cheated on her and it made Honey's blood boil. "Oh Nick" they heard Mrs Molly sob as she hugged him. Nick was stunned. "I should have told you" he started. "No, you're right. I wouldn't have taken it well at that time. You have told me time and again that I'm the most lovable person, that must be true then no? And I have you both" she smiled, holding Nick and Honey's hand. "And it wasn't your fault.." "That my husband cheated on me, I know I know. I know Nick" she smiled. "I'll be back" Mrs Molly walked away. Honey turned away when he caught her looking at him. "We are going out. I want you to come with me and don't make a fuss out of this. Wear a gown or something. Or any dress in which you would look presentable" and he left the room with her staring at him. "He is so crazy. I'm not moving from here. He can do what he wants. 'In which you look presentable' what does that mean?" she scoffed. "I heard that!" he came back into the room. Had she said that out loud? "Good!" she hissed. She looked at him, not moving.  He shot up a brow and all he got for a response was silence. He sighed as he shut the door behind him. She looked at him, ready to run if the situation demands. He came closer and she tried her best not to move. He took another step towards her and she scooted away from him. "Should I help you change?" She gasped at the thought and ran backwards going as far away as possible. He sighed again but this time softly before taking three big steps and pulled her into his arms. "You wouldn't dare" He smiled. "Now I think you're deliberately trying to coax me into helping you change. "What nonsense! I'm not doing anything of that sort!" "Are you sure?" "My God! I'll change okay??" he heard her as she went into the guest bedroom.
