The board of directors was displeased. Not only has this meeting been postponed continuously only to finally be held today, but ever since father's recent step-down as the president, the stocks of Romano's logistics kept dropping. All efforts to salvage the situation myself were not working.
“I'll have a meeting with them over this,” I promised.
A board director cleared his throat, looking at me rather oddly.
“The company is not supposed to suffer in this way given you are married to Galen Albert, the CEO of Albert Industries. I suggest you speak to your husband about this.”
I scoffed at his suggestion.
