The next thing I knew, the tree started to glow, the tree's branches bent into a doorway. I had done it correctly. Grandfather would be so happy to hear this. I thought about my grandfather for a moment. I knew he was going to be angry with me, but at this moment, I was too happy with myself to care. I looked at Skylar, who had a look of awe on her face, as she looked at the portal. The doorway glowed a deep purple color, and I could tell she was afraid to walk through it. I waited patiently for her to calm herself. Skylar studied me for the first time, since I met her. I could tell she was thinking. I stretched out my hand was and waited for her to take it. I watched as her hand slowly took my hand. "Are you ready?" I asked. She nodded, not being able to say anything. I led her through the portal, and spoke. "You might want to hang on." I said. She quickly glanced at me in confusion. "What do you mean?" she asked, but was cut off, when I hugged her to me. She screamed as we fell through the colors. We continued to fall, and I watched as she started to look around. Her eyes grew wide, and I could tell she was taking it all in. The world was spinning and I knew we were almost to our destination. She clung to me tight, and I didn’t let go of her. The feeling of her in my arms, was a good feeling. I didn’t want to let go. The colors and stars continued to fly around us and soon the spinning slowed. Finally, we landed on solid ground. I picked her up into my arms, knowing she would not be steady just yet. I started to walk into the woods. She looked into my eyes and smiled. “That was amazing!” she said. I laughed. “I’m glad you liked it.” I replied
