"Zombies"

You never wanted to save me; you just wanted to save your world.” I said. I got up and started walking into the woods. "That's not such a good idea." I heard Zebalta's voice say. I turned to Zebalta, with my hands on my hips, and spoke. "And why is that?" I asked, still angry. Zebalta pointed behind me and I slowly turned around to see a mass number of different colored eyes staring at me from the woods. I squeeked and ran back to the log and sat down next to Zebalta. "That's a good girl." said Zebalta as she chuckled at my reaction. I crossed my arms over my chest and spoke. "Fine, I'll stay, but I’m still mad at you.” I said. “And you!” I said pointing at Luke. “You are a mongrel!” I finshed. Zebalta laughed and patted me on the back, while Luke had a look of horror on his face. "Finally, someone who agrees with Me.” she said. “Next all we have to do is dye your hair and give you some tattoos, and you will be just like Me." she said. I laughed. "No thanks, I think I'll pass." I spoke. Zebalta smiled and spoke. "Suit yourself." she said, turning back to the fire. Luke just shook his head. "What were those things in the woods?" I asked. Luke turned to me, his face pale as a white sheet. "They are the spirits of the dead." he said. I gasped. "Wait, like actual dead people walking?" I asked. Luke spoke. "Have you ever heard of a zombie?" he asked. I gave Luke a look of unbelief. "You're kidding me, right?" I asked. Luke smiled. "Oh, darling, I wish I was." he said. "So, what keeps them away?" I asked. "They are afraid of fire." said Zebalta. "As long as we stay close to it, they will not come near us." she finished. I nodded. "So, do zombies really eat brains?" I asked. Luke and Zebalta exchanged a look of amusement. Luke then spoke. "No, Zombie's don't eat brains. To them, you are a big cooked turkey. They eat all of you, except your brains.” He spoke. I shuddered. “Why don’t they eat the brains?” I asked. Luke sighed. “How would I know. I don’t go around asking zombies why they eat the way they do.” He said. “I didn’t see them in the daytime, do they not like the day?” I asked. Luke shook his head. “They don't like the pretend sun, because they think its fire." he said. I gazed into the fire. "I have nothing to say to that. I thought I saw it all." I replied with a face of outright unbelief. Zebalta laughed.
