Mark Thompson's fingers tapped on the desk. There was a sinister glint in his eyes. He knew he needed more information and more power to oppose Emily. His gaze fell on a document on the desk. It was the investigative report on Alexander Gray that he had just received.
The report mentioned that Alexander was a mysterious and influential figure. His background was complex and he had extensive connections. A hint of unease rose in Mark's heart. He realized that this man might become an obstacle for him.
He decided to take action. He picked up the phone and dialed a familiar number.
"It's me, Mark. I need you to help me investigate a person." His voice was low and powerful.
At the same time, Emily and Alexander were having a private conversation in a quiet café. There was a hint of seriousness in Alexander's eyes.
"Emily, I know what you want, but we need a detailed plan." His voice carried an air of undeniable authority.
Emily nodded. She knew Alexander was right. She began to tell him about her plan, her counterattack, and her revenge.
Alexander listened. There was a glint in his eyes. He knew that this game would be very interesting.
"We need to find Mark's weakness and then strike a fatal blow." There was a hint of coldness in Alexander's voice.
A glint of determination flashed in Emily's eyes. She knew this was her only chance.
"I will find his weakness. Then we will make him pay." Her voice carried an air of undeniable determination.
Just then, the door of the café was pushed open. A man in a black suit walked in. His gaze swept around the café and finally fell on Emily and Alexander.
Emily's heart beat accelerated. She sensed a hint of danger. Alexander also noticed the man. A glint of vigilance flashed in his eyes.
"We are being followed." Alexander said in a low voice.
Emily's face changed slightly, but she quickly regained her composure.
"Let's go." She stood up and picked up her bag.
They quickly left the café. The man followed closely behind. Emily and Alexander passed through several streets and finally entered a department store.
They quickly moved through the store, trying to shake off the follower. Emily's heart was pounding like a drum. Her heart was filled with tension and unease. Alexander, on the other hand, appeared calm and composed. There was a firm glint in his eyes.
In the end, they successfully shook off the follower. Emily let out a sigh of relief, but her heart couldn't be calm. She knew that this game had just begun.
"We need to be more careful." There was a hint of seriousness in Alexander's voice.
Emily nodded. She knew Alexander was right. She decided to strengthen her security measures and also speed up her plan.
Mark was waiting for news in his office. His heart was filled with anticipation. He knew that as long as he found Emily's weakness, he could completely defeat her.
However, he didn't know that Emily and Alexander had already prepared for a counterattack.
