Mark Thompson sat in his spacious office, his fingers gently tapping on the desktop. His eyes were gloomy and his heart was filled with doubts. Emily's divorce proposal completely took him by surprise. He had thought that this weak woman would endure it all the time until he found the right time to kick her out of the house.

His cell phone rang. It was his lover, Lillian Moore. Her voice was coquettish and carried a hint of dissatisfaction.

"Dear, when will you get rid of that woman? I can't wait to become Mrs. Thompson."

Mark's brows were tightly knitted. He comforted Lillian while his mind was calculating. He needed a perfect plan, one that could not only let him obtain Emily's property but also make her disappear completely.

At the same time, Emily was sitting in her secret office, the heart of her business empire. On the wall hung a photo of her father, a kind old man with wisdom and determination in his eyes. Emily's fingers gently stroked the frame. She could feel her father's strength and support.

Her assistant, a loyal and shrewd middle-aged man, walked in. "Miss Emily, we are ready. Everything is proceeding according to your plan."

Emily nodded. Determination flashed in her eyes. "Very good. It's time for those people to see the real Emily Thompson."

A few days later, Mark returned home. His mood was extremely irritable. He found that Emily had moved out of the apartment, leaving only a note.

"Mark, our game has just begun." The handwriting on the note was elegant and firm.

A sense of unease welled up in Mark's heart. He began to realize that Emily might not be as weak as he had imagined.
