Corinne looked at Quinn before meeting Sawyer’s gaze, she passed over Logan, without pausing to truly look at the young girl. The lines on her forehead seemed more pronounced than normal and the dark under her eyes aged her. Wolves don’t typically show their biological age, but she was. Before anyone else spoke, Corinne moved away from the door, her strides were slow and graceful. Despite the exhaustion on her face, her body still moved with purpose. She stopped in front of Quinn, the sadness in her eyes unmistakable. “It’s good to see you,” she said quietly, her thin lips in a straight line.
