Logan ran all over town before heading back to the apartment. Sawyer pushed open the front door and moved to her bedroom. When she poked her head into the room Logan was stuffing her clothes into a trash bag. The girl looked up and, instead of anger as Sawyer anticipated, there was sadness. Her blue eyes were glossy and puffy. “Let me explain,” Sawyer said, stepping inside and closing the door behind her. “I trusted you,” Logan’s voice shook. When Sawyer moved toward her, Logan flinched, and Sawyer stopped walking. This night was supposed to feel victorious, but she felt defeated. Sawyer pointed to the bed before sitting and patting the spot beside her.
