The weeping willows hung over the road as dust flew off the vehicle. The headlights faded from view down the narrow street. Austin, roughly ten miles away, never felt further, yet being so close made Sawyer nervous. Reece, despite his mother’s approach, could do anything. When Corinne shows up alone, he’d know they were in the area. Corinne decided to drive into Austin alone. The rest of them stopped at a hotel outside of town.
