Robin hoped she never got over the wonder of her vampire senses. The night had never been so bright, or the smells and sounds so distinct. The breeze against her skin felt like it cocooned her in a whirlwind. The forest teemed with noise and colors she'd never noticed before, her vampire senses making the night seem as clear as day. She could spot every vultrich pecking in the underbrush in perfect detail. At her first glance, being able to see them more clearly didn't enhance the vultrich's beauty. They still resembled raptors more than eagles. Their red, scaly heads with oversized, beady eyes and razor-sharp beaks didn't grow more charming now that she could see the detail of every scale and feather. Greater perception couldn't make their long, talon-pointed feet and fluffy wings more
