Chapter 20 BRODY BEGAN HIS Christmas break that year with high hopes for a great holiday season. The break started out ordinarily enough, but a couple of days later, his world came to a shattering halt. It was a weekday, and the station got a call to an accident an hour or so after lunch. As Ron pulled the ambulance up to the crash site, Brody got a sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach. “That looks like my grandfather’s car,” he said.
